Dear Fellow Americans, while New York is where I always think of Greenwich, the original is UK property. (Think Greenwich Mean Time). Actually this little place is actually what the rest of the world centers time around. "Ahead or behind GMT by X hours". (I will NOT go back into the time zone discussion!) Greenwich is just as cute as the village that we all know and love in New York.

Ironically that pub in your last picture is one of the most controversial pubs in the gay scene. It used to be called the 'Gloucester', was made famous by a British film 'Beautiful Thing' and an absolute hive of activity all the time.
ReplyDeleteUntil it was turned into a straight pub. Then bought out by a restaurant chain... putting an end to one of the most famous gay pubs in the UK :(
